Manchester Tippers was tasked with the demolition, controlled asbestos removal and site clearance works of this 19th Century hospital to make way for 21st Century healthcare facilities. Over a 16 week period with Project Managers, Frank Whittle Partnership. The concrete and brickwork from the demolition works was processed on site into a graded aggregate material for reuse in the new development, thus reducing the need for disposal to landfill and the associated transportation of materials from and to the site.
Case Study :: Rosehill Tannery, Bolton

Demolition and site clearance of the former 4 storey Rosehill Tannery needed careful planning and precision execution, due to it's proximity to main roads and pedestrian areas. Specialist scaffolding and hand demolition, coupled with extensive use of the company’s ‘Hi-Reach’ Demolition Excavator, eliminated the need for operatives to work at height. Following demolition, Manchester Tippers constructed a piling mat from concrete and brickwork recycled on site, to enable development to start immediately after completion.
