Manchester Tippers met the challenge set by clients Vermont Developments to excavate this site to 4m below ground level and remove the spoil material.
Following completion of these works, a geogrid consisting of 600 compacted layers, together with a recycled 6F5 piling mat was installed to form a piling platform for this new commercial and residential development.
Case Study :: Middleton Leisure Centre, Manchester

Client : Barr Construction for Tesco
The project consisted of a new leisure centre to be constructed on the site of the former Middleton Arena, scheduled for demolition to make way for a new Tesco store.
Originally as gas works, then a waste recycling centre, the site required specislist excavation and remediation skills from Manchester Tippers. Large obstacles were removed ahead of site levelling and piling mat construction.
